From October 4–6, 2023, the ICTM International Advisory Board (IAB) held its inaugural meeting in Belgrade, marking an important milestone in institutional development. As part of the program, Matija Zlatar delivered a keynote presentation titled “Transformation of ICTM within the SAIGE Project,” laying out a bold vision for institutional reform and research modernization.

As coordinator of the ICTM Transformation Team, the Matija leads efforts to enhance scientific infrastructure, interdisciplinary research, and international visibility. The Transformation Team participated actively in the IAB meeting, sharing insights and outlining the roadmap for sustainable reform.

The TMMagCat project, where computational modeling, synthesis, and open collaboration converge to tackle magnetic and catalytic challenges, is an exemplary initiative reflecting the Institute’s evolving identity.

During the visit, IAB members toured key research facilities at the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, gaining firsthand insight into ICTMs research.
