Dr. Matija Zlatar, our PI, gave an invited lecture at the 1st International Conference “Multiscale Irradiation and Chemistry Driven Processes and Related Technologies” (MultIChem 2022). The conference took place in Boppard am Rhein, Germany, May 16-18, 2022.  Experts from different disciplines, such as physics, chemistry, biology, and materials science, specialized in the theoretical, multiscale computational modeling and experimental studies of irradiation-driven chemistry processes involving complex molecular systems exposed to radiation were present. Dr. Matija Zlatar gave an overview of our research in the lecture entitled “Modeling metal-ligand bonds – from ground to excited states.” There were lots of exciting discussions at the conference, and we expect some new collaborations soon.

The conference is organized as a part of the COST Action CA20129 “Multiscale Irradiation and Chemistry Driven Processes and Related Technologies” (MultIChem), in which we take an active role. The scientific sessions were followed by a  Management Committee meeting where Action activities were discussed.
